Resources for Home

Private and Group lesson students receive access to the PracticeSpace App available as a website link and as an app for your phone.  The teacher will use this resource as a communication tool about practice assignments and goal setting.  It is also an ideal tool for sharing videos, musical listening tracks, and worksheets to supplement your lesson experience.  Missed Lesson Assignments will be delivered via the PracticeSpace App as well.

Lesson/Class Expectations

Each piano student will receive lesson books and should bring these to every lesson.  If a student has forgotten their materials, we will focus our lesson time on "off bench" musical activities.

Group voice students will receive a Full Voice workbook and song-study book.  Private lesson students will receive a Full Voice workbook and another lesson book that will be determined by the level of music literacy of the student.  Students should bring all materials to class every week.

Makeup Lessons

Private Lesson families are invited to attend asynchronous lessons virtually if they cannot be in the studio in person.  A student will be given a missed lesson assignment for each absence via Practice Space providing you with instruction for every lesson you have reserved and paid for with tuition.

Students who miss a group class session can see weekly assignments in the PracticeSpace App.

Change in Enrollment

We must receive a change request (to change or pause your enrollment) by the last business day of the month to avoid charges for the next month.  If a change request is submitted on the 1st of the month, the payment will still be run for the current month.  No refunds are given for payments run before a change is processed.

Payments

There is a non-refundable $45 registration fee per student subscription.  This fee includes basic materials.  Any music purchases outside of the basic materials are the responsibility of the student.

Tuition payments are monthly by credit card.  All enrolled families will be charged a payment on the 1st of each month.  No refunds will be given for families who cancel enrollment after the 1st of the month or for missed classes.

Safety

Illness - If your child or student is sick, it is important to stay home to protect the other students and families in the class or your lesson teacher.  Enjoy listening to music at home this week while resting up!

Inclement Weather Policy

Music with Brandi will make weather-related decisions based on local conditions.  These decisions are independent of school district decisions.  We will use Facebook and our website to keep our families notified of changes due to inclement weather.

If classes, group lesson, or private lessons are not able to meet in person due to inclement weather, the teacher will provide video-recorded lesson material (asynchronous lessons) via the PracticeSpace App.  Class information will be provided for each student enrolled.  We do not reschedule weather-related cancellations.
